Twelve-strong advisory committee drawn from industry, academia and public interest groups

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has set up an equity market structure advisory committee, which will advise it on the structure and operation of US equities markets. The members of the committee come from various sectors of the financial services industry, educational institutions and public interest groups

Stephen Luparello, director of the SEC's division of trading and markets, will be the designated federal officer, charged with reporting the results of the committee's
