Credit Suisse loses fixed income e-commerce head

Credit Suisse: Sheftel departs

Ryan Sheftel, global head of e-commerce for fixed income, currencies and commodities and global head of electronic market-making for rates products at Credit Suisse, has left the bank, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Sheftel is believed to have played a key role in setting up Wake Trading – a mould-breaking electronic market-making joint venture with high-frequency trader, Tower Research Capital. At press time, regulatory filings still named Sheftel as the chief executive of Wake
