LCH and CME have enough capital, says Isda's O'Connor

LCH.Clearnet and CME Group have enough of their own capital to align their interests with those of their members, according to Stephen O'Connor, chairman of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association. Banks have been campaigning in recent months for central counterparties (CCPs) to put more of their own money at risk.

Speaking at Isda's European conference in London on Tuesday, O'Connor said it is important for CCPs to have a significant amount of their own capital at risk to ensure
