Dealers and brokers will be facing a sharp but sensible pragmatist if Timothy Massad is confirmed as the new chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), according to three of his former colleagues, who spoke to Risk for a profile of Massad, who is currently an official at the US Department of the Treasury.
