This month's OpRisk benchmarking survey reveals a more prominent role for the op risk function in financial institutions

We shift the emphasis this month away from the operational risks that threaten the financial sector – though not entirely; political risk and bribery are still covered – and look instead at various aspects of how the risks are handled; the nuts and bolts of operational risk management.

Our second Operational Risk Benchmarking Survey gives an insight into how operational risks were handled across a broad sample of banks and other financial institutions at the end of 2013. The results are mixed
