CFTC chair says "it is critical" that US rules apply overseas, in article for Banque de France stability review

The cross-border application of US over-the-counter derivatives reforms was defended today in an article written by Gary Gensler, chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), who argues it is "critical" that the agency's Dodd-Frank Act rules should apply to OTC trading in other countries.
