Ana Haurie was the third person to join Dexion Capital. Eight years on, the company manages almost $2 billion and has a thriving, diversified business.

Ana Haurie, a management consultant by trade, was on maternity leave in September 2001 working for an Open University MBA and looking for a new challenge.

Haurie noticed the aftershock of the World Trade Centre attacks was causing a downturn in the number of projects being outsourced by banks, the sort of work that had been her bread and butter for a decade.

At the same time two contacts, Robin Bowie and Nick Browne, were setting up an advisory business for investors into funds of hedge funds
