Our winners prove the news is not all bad

If you had judged April and May for hedge funds by the popular press, you would have thought the sky was falling in.

Unconfirmed rumours that a gargantuan hedge fund had collapsed, and that others were on the verge, were proven false. Yes, some funds did have a rough time. However, by and large, flat performance or falls of maybe 2%-3% were the order of the day, despite the storm in a tea cup.
