Investment into hedge funds via managed accounts gains momentum moving into 2012

Deutsche Bank has had a second wave of expansion on its managed account hedge fund platform this year. It has benefited from an increased appetite for managed accounts from a wider investor base.

Renewed interested from institutional investors for managed accounts is likely to continue into 2012 as existing and new investors choose this form of investment for their hedge fund allocations.

“The platform structure adds considerable comfort on the risk front as well as giving investors a uniform and consistent approach,” says Fothergill. “This makes access to hedge funds via a platform inherently attractive when compared to direct investment in a number of distinct hedge funds,” says Martin
