The Amex European Equity Market Neutral Fund battles with volatile and irrational markets to achieve returns of Libor plus 4% to 8%

American Express Asset Management's Advisory European Equity Market Neutral Fund was launched near the bottom of global equity markets, on 1 September 2001, focusing on investing in European equities including the UK of firms valued at a minimum of E1bn.

After the fund's three-strong investment team conduct fundamental research investments are made in the stocks selected, keeping the portfolio strictly market neutral with most of the investment risks hedged out.
