Managers look increasingly to East and specialists

Funds of hedge funds are allocating more heavily to Japan, emerging markets and niche managers in search of returns

Emerging markets and niche strategies continue to be improving sectors in the eyes of many fund of hedge fund managers, according to the latest monthly survey of their views by Hedge Funds Review.

Managers believe Asia and Eastern Europe in particular will perform better next month, the survey found, with Latin America and global emerging market funds trailing but still improving.
