Charlie Shin has left the Swiss bank

South Korea

Charlie Shin, managing director and head of Korea equity derivatives at Credit Suisse in Seoul, is understood to have left the bank in the middle of December.

According to sources, the equity derivatives division at Credit Suisse has been struggling this year amid losses in the equity-linked securities business. Between June and September the Swiss bank also closed down its Korean equity-linked warrants business after volumes dried up following a regulatory clampdown.
