Adoboli claims witnesses have been lying

The accused rogue trader says others were complicit in his actions

Kweku Adoboli, the former UBS trader, told a London court witnesses have lied to portray him as a rogue trader.

Adoboli, who worked on the exchange-traded fund (ETF) desk at UBS, faces six charges of fraud and false accounting. These relate to trades that lost the bank $2.3 billion in 2011. He denies the charges.

Adoboli claims no witness was prepared "to stand up against the machine" of UBS.
