Kweku Adoboli takes the stand in court

Former UBS trader describes inadequate oversight at bank

The accused rogue trader, Kweku Adoboli, gave evidence to a London court for the first time on Friday.

Adoboli was originally charged with two counts of false accounting and two counts of fraud between October 2008 and September 2011.  However, two further charges of false accounting were added on Friday. He has pleaded not guilty to all six.

Adoboli explained his own account of his actions in an often emotional testimony.
