Internal enquiries did not focus on other UBS traders, Adoboli’s defence claims

The defence team for accused UBS rogue trader Kweku Adoboli suggested that internal investigations did not consider whether other traders were complicit, a London court heard yesterday.

Adoboli is appearing in London's Southwark Crown Court facing charges of fraud and false accounting, which he denies.

Yesterday's witness, Ruwan Weerasekera, chief operating officer of securities at UBS, carried out an internal review of Adoboli's actions leading up to his discovery in September 2011.
