UBS cash equities trader took part in "false accounting", says Adoboli's defence

The defence team for Kweku Adoboli, the accused rogue trader, claims another trader at UBS conducted false accounting, a London court heard today.

Adoboli has been charged with two counts of false accounting and two counts of fraud by abuse of position between October 2008 and September 2011. He denies the charges.

Darren Bailey, a trader in the cash equities group who still works at UBS, asked Adoboli to book trades for him, the defence claimed today in London's Southwark Crown Court, citing an
