FSA appoints chairman of Financial Services Compensation Scheme

Churchill replaces existing chairman David Hall

The UK Financial Services Authority has appointed Lawrence Churchill as chairman of the board of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) for three years commencing on April 1, 2012.

He replaces David Hall, who has held the post since March 2006.

Churchill is currently the chairman of the National Employment Savings Trust. He has wide-ranging experience in the financial services industry, having held posts including chief executive of UK, Irish and international life at Zurich Financial
