Luc François has left his position as global head of equity derivatives at Morgan Stanley. François joined the firm in July 2008 from a similar role at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking (SG CIB) in the aftermath of the Jérôme Kerviel rogue trading scandal, which cost the French bank €4.9 billion. He had been at SG CIB for two decades.
