LCH.Clearnet appoints new CEO of CDSClear

UK-based clearer appoints Markit's former fixed-income director as chief executive of CDS clearing service

LCH.Clearnet, the London-based clearing house, has appointed Charlie Longden as chief executive of CDSClear, the firm's credit default swap (CDS) clearing service.

Longden, who will divide his time between London and Paris, will lead the development of CDSClear. He will report to Ian Axe, chief executive of the LCH.Clearnet Group.

"Charlie's extensive industry expertise, coupled with his deep understanding of clients and their concerns, make him ideally placed to head up this important service
