New academic research suggests a direct link between oil imports into China and world oil prices.

Speaking at the Energy Risk Europe Conference yesterday, Sharon Xiaowen Lin from the faculty of finance at Cass Business School described the results of analysis conducted with colleague Hong Li, which suggests a relationship does exist between demand for oil from China and India and Brent crude oil prices.
