This month, we consider the relative performance of two one-year and one five-year structured products, all with a strike date of January 7, 2011. The comparison - between principal-protected, accelerated growth and reverse convertible products, all of which are valued weekly - is made over six months, with the results shown alongside the performance of their relevant underlyings.

Figure 1 shows the performance of a five-year, principal-protected product linked to a Financial Select Sector fund
