Netherlands–Belgium cross-border intra-day electricity trading begins

Move will lead to alignment of intra-day fees in March

The electricity and gas exchange APX-Endex, the Belgian Power Exchange and the Nordic power market Nord Pool Spot today announced the launch of an intra-day market for trading electricity across the Dutch-Belgian border.

In the new system, trades in one country are automatically matched with bids and offers in its neighbour, as long as there is available capacity on an intra-day basis.
