PwC partner: Basel's remuneration paper gives banks cause for concern

Paper on aligning remuneration with risk outlines methodologies that will concern banks

LONDON – The Basel Committee's latest consultation paper on the risk alignment of remuneration could cause concern among financial institutions, says Tom Gosling, partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).

The consultation paper presents the range of methodologies firms are implementing to better align remuneration practices with risk in a bid to promote sound incentive policies.
