iShares launches first currency-hedged ETFs in Europe

iShares has launched five equity ETFs with a currency hedge in response to demand from institutional investors

iShares has launched the first currency hedged equity exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for the European market.

The five funds offer hedged exposure to the MSCI Japan, MSCI World and S&P 500. They are all hedged in euros and the World and S&P 500 are also hedged in sterling.

The ETFs have come from the demand that institutional investors have for equity exposure without the currency risk.
