JP Morgan names Rahul Malhotra head of India uHNW business

India’s private wealth market grew by more than 50% in 2009, following a surge in its stock market capitalisatio, according to JP Morgan.

Private wealth veteran Rahul Malhotra will join JP Morgan private bank as managing director and market manager for India on September 13. He will be responsible for expanding the private bank's business for Indian clients across different regions.

Malhotra will be based in Singapore and report to Andrew Cohen, who relocated to Hong Kong from Los Angeles in June to head JP Morgan private bank in Asia. Malhotra will join JP Morgan private bank's Asia operating committee.
