Executive managing director Tony Angel is leaving Standard & Poor's after two years

Tony Angel, head of Europe, Middle East and Africa, is leaving credit ratings agency Standard & Poor's at the end of August to take up a role in the telehealth industry.

Angel, who joined Standard & Poor's in June 2008, was previously managing partner at law firm Linklaters, a position he held for 10 years during a 30-year stint with the firm.

He joined at a difficult time for credit ratings agencies, which were criticised for their ratings of complex structured finance securities and the effect
