Ex-RBS Sempra boss heads to UBS

UBS has hired former RBS Sempra Commodities head Kaushik Amin amid speculation that it will restart its commodities trading business

Amin started as head of Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) trading in the Americas at UBS on April 12. His focus will be on driving greater volumes and profitability in to the franchise. Kelly Smith, spokesperson for UBS, declined to comment on whether Amin's appointment signaled UBS’s intention to fully re-enter the commodities space.
