S&P index rollout gives European investors access to US sectors

Index provider Standard & Poor’s (S&P) has launched nine sector indexes that allow investors in Europe access to US trades.

The S&P Select Sector Capped 20% Index Family, a variation on S&P’s existing sector indexes, has been created in partnership with Source, the London-based provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Source has launched nine ETFs based on the indexes, which it listed on the London Stock Exchange on January 5.
