Warsaw Stock Exchange trading doubles

The value of trades on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) doubled last year as more structured products were listed. By the end of 2009, 69 structured products were listed on the WSE, compared with 46 at the end of 2008.

The value of trading rose from 156 million zloty ($55.8 million) in 2008 to 314 million zloty as the number of issuers reached seven – UniCredit, Raiffeisen Centrobank, Deutsche Bank, Erste Bank, Barclays Bank and BNP Paribas, along with its collateralised special purpose vehicle
