The success Goldman Sachs has had over the past year in the sovereign market is down to the firm’s culture, according to Glenn Hadden, head of Goldman Sachs’ US government bond desk.

Chiefly, Goldman still operates with a partnership ethos (despite being a public company), where senior managers and business leaders have large percentages of their personal wealth invested in the firm.
