Clean energy fund tops $200 million in first year

A clean-energy infrastructure fund managed by Fortis Investments has attracted €158 million ($232 million) in investment in its first year.

According to Joost Bergsma, chief executive officer at Fortis Investments, the success of the fund has proven there is investor confidence in the renewables sector. "Even though electricity demand has plateaued across Europe – and in some cases is shrinking – demand for clean electricity is rising," he says.
