Ice boosts US clearing services

Atlanta-based IntercontinentalExchange (Ice) has joined with the Chicago-based Board of Trade Clearing Corp (BOTCC) to offer clearing services for some of its over-the-counter (OTC) US power products from the end of July.

David Goone, senior vice-president for clearing services at Ice, says the move is in response to customer demand and that Ice hopes to expand the products it will clear in the future. The first products to be offered for clearing include physically delivered electricity through
