Structured products catch World Cup fever

JP Morgan and Societe Generale (SG) have each launched a structured product linked to a basket of companies most likely to benefit from this year's World Cup in Germany.

Launched earlier this month, SG's Football 2006 warrant provides investors with exposure to a basket of stocks from nine companies that it thinks will benefit from links to domestic German consumption, sportswear sales, official sponsorship or advertising campaigns based around the event.

The nine stocks are from companies Accor
