Geiger leaves Deutsche Börse Index for Vontobel

Heiko Geiger has left Deutsche Börse Index, where he was head of sales and marketing, to join Bank Vontobel in Frankfurt. Geiger will be responsible for public distribution of retail structured products in Germany for Vontobel, reporting to Georg von Wattenwyl, Zurich-based head of advisory and execution derivatives. Geiger will be based in Frankfurt.

At Deutsche Börse, Geiger worked as sales and marketing manager for the global index Business. He joined Deutsche Börse Index in 2004 and was mainly involved in the set-up of the DAXglobal index family and the customised index business. Prior to that, he worked in a sales and business role for Entory, a consulting company based in Frankfurt and London that was bought by Deutsche Börse in 2001.

Geiger’s last day at Deutsche Börse was March 4, and he starts at Vontobel on April 1.
