Barclays launches its latest regular income product

Barclays has launched its latest regular income bond. The investment is a five-year plan which pays investors an annual income of 7.25%. It offers tax-free returns when packaged inside an Individual Savings Account (Isa) or Personal Equity Plan (Pep.)

The product is linked to the Dow Jones Stoxx 50, which offers exposure to 50 stocks across 17 European countries. Investors receive back their capital provided that the index does not fall by more than 40% and fail to return to its initial recorded level during the life of the product. If it does, then capital loss is 1:1 with the index.

A growth option of the plan will also be available which offers a single conditional payout instead of fixed income payments. Investors will receive a 50% return
