Wall Street Hones BCP Testing

NEW YORK—Wall Street will be honing the coordination of its voluntary industry-wide testing of business continuity planning (BCP) this year, according to a representative of the Securities Industry Association's (SIA) BCP Industry Testing sub-committee of its BCP steering committee, formed last month.

Speaking at the 2003 Business Continuity & Infrastructure Security event in New York last week, a sub-committee member who shared the podium with Randolph Walther, SIAC’s managing director of shared data center operations, says that testing has been broken down into the point-to-point testing (phase 1) and the regional testing (phase 2).
