QFCRA appoints governing board

The Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) today announced the appointment of its governing board. Jean-Francois Lepetit, Robert O’Sullivan, Brian Quinn and Andrew Sheng will support chairman and CEO Phillip Thorpe.

Thorpe said of the appointment: “The QFCRA now has an international board with a variety and depth of banking and regulatory experience that is hard to match. Banks and financial institutions seeking to establish a base in the region can have the comfort of knowing that the QFCRA is a transparent, independently supervised regulator that matches aspirations with action.
