Corporation Bank in India to use Tier II bonds to meet capital requirements

The Corporation Bank has opened an issue of Tier II bonds of on private placement to meet its future capital adequacy requirements.

The bank is preparing to increase its long-term resources and is accounting for additional capital for credit risk/market as well as operational risk under the Basel II requirements.

The bonds are to be listed on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) under the wholesale debt market segment.
