MF Global establishes nuclear desk

Broker MF Global has set up its first nuclear fuel trading desk. The desk will provide the nuclear fuel market with a liquidity pool for the sale and purchase of physical uranium oxides, together with uranium price hedging and exposure products.

Scott Lawrence, the former head of nuclear fuel markets at London-based interdealer broker Tullett Prebon, has been hired specifically to oversee the desk.
