FEMT bets on Black

Fortis Energy Marketing and Trading (FEMT), the energy trading division of investment bank Fortis, has appointed Don Black as head of power & gas trading. Black will be based in Houston, and will report directly to FEMT president Luc Machiels.

Black leaves his role at UBS as managing director and head of natural gas trading for North America. Black joined UBS as part of its 2002 Enron acquisition. From 1993 to 2001, he was involved in US and international electricity markets for Enron. He also
