UniCredit names CRO

Italian banking group UniCredit has named Karl Guha as chief risk officer. UniCredit's board of directors appointed Guha on December 18 and he began his new role on January 1, becoming a member of the group management committee on the same date. Guha reports to CEO Alessandro Profumo and is based in Milan. His predecessor, Henning Giesecke, vacated his post on December 31, but will continue to work with Unicredit as CRO of German subsidiary HVB. Prior to his appointment Guha worked at ABN Amro
