A loyal servant

Unlike some City professionals who keep a CV in their desk and head-hunters’ numbers on the auto-dial, Ian Fishwick has shown an unusually stalwart loyalty to his employers.

After brief stints as an actuarial student (“too dull”) and a year as a corporate bond salesman at James Capel, Fishwick joined Confederal Life in 1986. And while the firm has been taken over first by Sun Life of Canada and then Credit Suisse Asset Management, Fishwick has remained a fixture at the firm for over 17 years.
