David Brown

David Brown, formerly special assistant to the archivist of the United States at the National Archives and Records Administration, has been confirmed as first archivist of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Brown, who took up his position in June, will play a leadership role in managing the records of the agency and preserving vital historical documents, and as SEC archivist his duties will include setting policies and procedures for maintenance and retention of records of
