S&P unveils Ucits version GSC index

Standard & Poor's has launched a new version of the Goldman Sachs Commodity Index (GSCI), which is compliant with the Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities Directive III (Ucits III).

The S&P GSCI Ucits Index caps individual sector weights at 35% to comply with the directive. Traditionally, the benchmark index has been overweight in energy as it is weighted by production. As of December 31, 2008, energy was weighted at 65.18%, whereas precious metals were weighted at
