GFI launches oil and gas broking in London

Inter-dealer broker GFI has opened a London desk to broke crude and gas oil derivatives, including options, the company announced yesterday.

GFI, which already has an oil derivatives desk in Singapore, started broking derivatives on oil and related products from its New York office earlier this year.

GFI has appointed Duncan Carlisle as head of oil and oil-related products, reporting to Steve McMillan, senior managing director of GFI in Europe.

GFI also has desks covering shipping, oil and forward freight agreements.

Carlisle joins GFI from London broker Collins Stewart, along with former colleagues Neil Standen, Mark McGuire
