Swiss Re to launch emissions desk

Global reinsurance firm Swiss Re will set up an emissions desk in within a month, says Chris Walker, New York-based managing director of the greenhouse gas risk solutions team at the company.

The New York-based desk will cover SO₂, NOx and CO₂ emissions, he told Energy Risk. Swiss Re’s existing emissions team will work closely with the weather team, and has no plans to make new emissions hires.
