Nomura creates energy capital markets group

Japanese bank Nomura has created an energy capital markets group based in New York and London. The group will focus on the strategic acquisition of assets and financing of investments in energy and related infrastructure.

Glenn George will be the London-based co-head of the group. George joins Nomura from PA Consulting Group where he held senior positions in the energy practice. Louis van Pletsen, New York-based co-head of the group, joins Nomura from Credit Suisse First Boston where he led the European origination effort.
