ECX and Ice Futures to launch emissions options
The European Climate Exchange (ECX) and Ice Futures will launch the Ice Futures ECX CFI Options Contract (ECX CFI Option) on Friday 13 October, subject to regulatory approval.
The ECX CFI Options will be listed and admitted to trading on Ice Futures’ electronic trading platform. LCH.Clearnet will clear all trades. Subject to the Ice Futures regulations, market participants will also be able to use the exchange for swap (EFS) mechanism, to register OTC options contracts for clearing by LCH.Clearnet.
