PXE to launch Hungarian electricity futures
Prague Energy Exchange (PXE) has announced that it will trade electricity futures based on power generated in Hungary from March 1, 2009.
"We would like to offer the Hungarian market all the benefits that derivatives trading on a standardised exchange platform provides, " says David Kuèera, secretary general of PXE. "This means transparency of the creation of electric power prices and not least, a significant reduction of risk for stakeholders and end customers."
