SGX AsiaClear adds to OTC BOM contract suite

Singapore Exchange (SGX) has announced that SGX AsiaClear will offer the clearing of over-the-counter (OTC) balance-of-month (BOM) Dubai crude oil swap and kerosene swap contracts from August 2.

This adds to AsiaClear's suite of three BOM oil swaps contracts: fuel oil 180cst, fuel oil 380cst and gasoil.

“The new Dubai crude oil and kerosene contracts are introduced in response to feedback from market participants, and to address the need for such an offering in the Asian marketplace,” says an SGX spokesman. “The positive response to SGX AsiaClear's existing contracts is also an indication of the increasing demand for BOM contracts by the industry.”
